West Family Law Group is pleased to announce that once again, family law attorneys in our area have chosen Susan Savard as one of the top practitioners in the Orlando region. Susan has been named to the Best Lawyers list for 2024, which is the 6th consecutive time she has received this honor.
“I am so grateful to my peers for nominating me and rating my work so highly,” she noted. “Because this award is based on the professional opinion of other attorneys practicing in my field, this mark of respect means a great deal to me.”
Because Susan was selected for the Best Lawyers list this past year, she was automatically nominated for the upcoming 2024 list. However, she still needed to have her nomination reviewed by a panel of highly ranked attorneys, and her work over the course of the previous year needed to meet the highest standards in order for her to be named to the list again. In other words, attorneys cannot simply stay on top of the rankings based on work they’ve done in the past. Current performance is what matters.
The voting team of family law attorneys at Best Lawyers ranks each nominated attorney based on the level of confidence they would feel if asked to refer a case to that nominee. They are also asked to submit comments about a nominee’s skills, dedication to service, and other characteristics. If a voting attorney does not know enough about a candidate’s work to give a proper assessment, then they abstain from voting. This ensures that the voting process accurately reflects informed opinions on the legal skills, professionalism, and ethics of every nominated candidate.
Dedication to Family Law
One reason Susan receives such consistently high rankings from her peers is that they recognize her commitment to family law. She has been board-certified in Marital and Family law for over 12 years and has served in various aspects of the field for decades.
She shares her vast experience in family law with other professionals through publications created for the Florida Bar Continuing Legal Education series and the Florida Bar Journal. In addition, she is in high demand as a lecturer on issues related to family law. Other attorneys in the field respect her knowledge, experience, and dedication, and it shows.
Support of Clients as Well as Attorneys
Susan recognizes that knowledge alone is not enough to achieve success for clients when it comes to complex matters of family law. “I’m grateful to the clients at West Family Law Group for the cooperation they have so readily demonstrated when working on cases,” she explained. “Without the information, they provide so promptly and thoroughly, we would not be able to gain the beneficial results that we do.”
